First mixed-tenure cohousing group receives funding

The Threshold Centre in Dorset has recently received confirmation of grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency enabling it to proceed with the first fully mixed-tenure cohousing scheme in the UK.

The housing association partner is Synergy Housing Group, the largest registered social landlord in Dorset: the completed scheme will have a total of fourteen units, of which seven will be affordable rent or shared ownership with the housing association.

The Threshold Centre run regular weekend workshops on cohousing, suitable both for those at an early stage of exploration, and for members of established groups. The next workshops are April 24-26 and June 26-28. For more information, click here.
