Cohousing Berkshire has been in existence for about two years. We have been establishing our vision for cohousing, have developed a good core group, and are networking with authorities and other groups in the area to further our cause. We are now setting up a company, which will be called Kennet And Thames CoHousing (or KATCH), to take forward a project, while Cohousing Berkshire will continue as an information base to sporn future groups.”

“Kennet And Thames CoHousing” is the name of the company that is being formed under the stewardship of Cohousing Berkshire. KATCH
will take on the first cohousing project in Berkshire and is independent of Cohousing Berkshire, which will continue as an information base for future cohousing projects.

We have been working on a suitable company form for KATCH and are currently consulting solicitors to ratify this and get KATCH formally incorporated. It is envisaged that KATCH will be inaugurated in September or October this year and will from that time establish its own schedule of meetings.

Membership is obtained through Cohousing Berkshire. So far we have seven prospective members, most of whom will be the first directors of the company. Others are warmly invited to apply for membership.”
